In the past I’ve received private student loans that didn’t require school certification and disbursed the funds directly to me – not through my school. I plan to attend a summer acting program but it’s not through my school, so they won’t certify my loan. Are there any companies left that are still doing private student loans without school certification?

I’ve never dealt with Wells Fargo for a student loan, so don’t take this as a recommendation – I’m simply providing the name of the one lender that I’ve come across that seems to be making non-certified educational loans at this point in time. There may well be others.
